Working in childcare brings so many smiles!

Seeing a child's face light up as they learn something new is something that you don't get in other jobs. Working with children requires patience don't get us wrong! However, the joy it brings in these transformative moments is all worth it. Plus, developing patience is a great skill to add to your tool kit - it does transfer to working with adults too!

Childcare is fulfilling and rewarding

Imagine how amazing it would feel knowing that you have had a major impact on the development of a child's life. You are a key part in helping develop that child's mind in order to prepare them for the future! How amazing is that? If children have a good learning experience from a young age, they will take that with them throughout their lives. You can impact on how a child responds to learning for the rest of their lives.

Working in childcare gives you flexibility

This is a huge pull for working in the sector, especially if you have or plan to have little ones of your own. Working in childcare means you can generally work your shifts around your own childcare. This makes life a lot easier and means you have more flexibility in your life.

Career opportunities are great

There is a real demand for trained childcare workers and the volume of jobs in the area is increasing. Childcare workers are now required to complete specific qualifications to work with children meaning there is no better time to get qualified.

Working in childcare gives you career progression

In the childcare sector, there are numerous opportunities to develop and progress in your career. You could, for example, be a Pre-School Supervisor, a Team Leader or even a Nursery Manager. It really is a huge sector with endless prospects to move forward, if that is what you decide you want to do.
If you weren't already wanting to start your career working in childcare, surely you are now?
