Valentine’s Day is quickly approaching and with Christmas and those unavoidable January Sales still ruining our financial lives, can we really afford showering more people with presents?! The answer is, YES!

Unfortunately we’re not Kim Kardashian and most of us can’t send ginormous boutiques of pink, handpicked roses to our loved ones (we’re still waiting for ours…). However, we are savvy-smart and eager to show the people we love that we appreciate them and everything they do for us. So without further ado, here’s 4 budget friendly Valentine's Day Gifts that’ll make you their BFF for rest of the year (or at least the next 2 weeks).

Let’s Get Creative!

It’s an oldie but a goodie, and one that always works! Nothing says ‘I Love You’ quite like a sticky, glittery mess falling onto your loved ones lap when opening a handmade craft. It’s a winner! Hand crafts are not only budget friendly but they’re also fun to make and shows the person you love how much time and effort you have put into their gift and them.

Dinner for Two

Don’t worry, this isn’t a three course meal at the fanciest restaurant in town, this is budget friendly thinking. With that in mind, how about heading down to your local Aldi and grabbing some fresh ingredients to whip up your S.O a truly scrumptious meal that’ll leave them wanting seconds! There’s loads of fantastic free recipes available online so why not see give them a try! BBC Good Food or Pinterest anyone?

Netflix

Let’s face it, the cinema is getting more and more expensive each year with an average adult ticket costing £11, and with many of us owning a Netflix account, why not save the pennies and snuggle up in the comfort of your own home? Netflix have an incredible range of films, so whether you fancy a rom-com, action, or thriller, they’ll deffo have something for you and your loved one. Oh, and that’s before getting started on Netflix original series; trust us, you’ll be knee deep in Season 3 of Black Mirror before you can say ‘I Love You, lets share the last scoop of Ben and Jerry’s’.

It’s a Walk in the Park!

Never underestimate a gorgeous walk and a good hot chocolate! Why not take some time to properly catch up with your loved ones by getting away from day to day distractions and heading out for a nice long walk. Light exercise may not be your thing, but your Insta story will love it! Also, spending an afternoon getting some fresh air will help you both appreciate the little things. But don’t forget to pick up a delish hot chocolate after your little trek to help get you warm again, let’s not forget it’s still February!

Ta-Dah

There we go, a budget free day with bae sorted!

With the option to do so many things on the cheap why not do all 4? After all, there are 24 hours in a day!

Happy Valentines lovelies!
