What Will I learn?

You will learn how creative play helps children flourish as confident, resilient and happy individuals and it is vital for child development. You will learn how creativity is a key ingredient for children to learn how to follow their curiosity, solve problems and make sense of the world.

You will learn how Our Creative Journey is based on the Getting it Right for Every Child (GIRFEC) wellbeing indicators. Demonstrating how experiences of expressive arts contributes to children being safe, healthy, achieving, nurtured, active, respected, responsible and included is aligned with the way Care Inspectorate regulate Early Learning and Childcare services.

Key Topics:

  • To promote an understand the concepts of creativity and creative learning, and how these affect all aspects of young children’s learning and development.
  • Part 2: How to provide opportunities for young children to develop their creativity and creative learning.
  • Be able to develop the environment to support young children’s creativity and creative learning.
