BB Training marks National Apprenticeship Week with ‘Become 1 in 300’ initiative

BB Training, an award-winning education provider in the care sector, and part of the Busy Bees Group, is making a major contribution to employment in the UK.

As an ‘outstanding’ graded national training provider, BB Training delivers apprenticeships, CPD courses and accredited qualifications to the early years, adult social care and clinical care sectors.

In conjunction with National Apprenticeship Week, 4th to 8th March 2019, the Staffordshire-based company will be launching over 300 childcare apprenticeships in its Busy Bees nurseries.

National Apprenticeship Week brings the whole apprenticeship community together to celebrate the impact of apprenticeships on individuals, employers and the economy. BB Training will play a key role in introducing a new generation of childcare professionals to the sector.

The full-time childcare apprenticeships will take place over a 3-year period and provide young people with the ability to ‘earn while they learn’, gaining recognised industry qualifications as well as the skills and knowledge employers require. The Apprenticeships include a Level 2 or 3 qualification in Early Years, Functional Skills in Maths, English and ICT along with an employment rights handbook, first aid and food hygiene.

The industry recognised qualification in Early Years supports apprentices to learn key information around safeguarding, child development, observation skills and organisational processes. Apprentices are encouraged to reflect on their learning throughout the qualification. The vacancies to be filled cover the North, South East, South West and Midlands regions.

One success story features a former Childcare apprentice with Busy Bees - Arooj Awan, Acting Assistant Manager at Derby Heatherton, said: “Since joining the company four and a half years ago, I have had amazing career progression and have grown from apprentice to Assistant Manager.

“An apprenticeship is the best option for anyone right now – you can progress, as long as you’ve got the willpower, and you are an amazing role model to your team and your nursery – you will always have opportunities to progress.”
